First, I would like to start by explaining the lack of posts. I am currently in the middle of the my works busiest season and I have not had time/energy to cook as much.
Tonight Katie and I pretended to be from the south and made Shrimp and Cheesy Grits. Unfortunately there was a fiasco with the recipe and which directions to follow so we winged this one! It’s a miracle this dish turned out so well! I recommend stirring until it tastes good and following our pictures.
3 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup half and half
1 cup uncooked quick-cooking grits
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
3 slices bacon, chopped
1 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 green onions, chopped
